So, Mom took this blog to the Apple store and showed it off to her instructor and everyone else who would listen. But what she wanted me to pass along was this:

"You should mention that when I send my photos to friends and family (the ones I take on photo booth) I take the wrinkles out. NOW....if I could really take them out! Anyway, everyone thinks I look terrific . It makes me feel a little better when I see them myself. Just shows that you can't believe everything you read and also everything you SEE.
Love
MOM

Nicely written. I have to laugh because my mom, a retired research librarian, begged me to use my university-assigned e-mail address in 1990, and has been doing the computer purchasing for our family for decades. She's a PC, I'm a Mac - she has a Handspring/Palm, I've got an iPhone. But we're compatible. She is my FB friend and she does check in on my Twitter page every now and then. She and my dad have 3 computers. I am my mother's daughter. LOL ;)

Or, you could have my mom who is in denial that the whole email web thing is real. But - she's on a PC with AOL and lives in Texas, so she's got that going for her. Great post Edward. I enjoy your writing.

Great post. I was laughing because I'm living this! My mother sends the emails hourly. When I started a blog, she started a blog. (It gives her a great platform for airing her ideas. You know, like how we could solve the drug problem in the US by banning the sale of zip lock baggies.) When she heard I was on Facebook, she got on Facebook. (I was happy to see she joined the group "Why Yes, I Do Frequently Burst Out Into Song!") And when I told her I was working on my website her first response was, "Maybe I need one of those."
But it's changed her life, too. And mine. I've learned about my mother from a totally new perspective by reading her blog. And she is now connected online to old friends from Brooklyn and her "Church Ladies" in Tulsa. The forwarded emails can get to be a little much though. Maybe I should give her your mom's address instead.
